Welcome to my website!
I have always considered poetry to be sacred ground. It is part of Grace, an unexpected blessing; it comes up from the deep. Every poem has its unique depths, but I have found that my best poems participate in the enigma I call the ordinary. By some alchemy, writing can transform the commonplace into an extraordinary source of strength and understanding.
My poems are very personal. Some them are hard to read. Some were hard to write. They arise from what my oldest friend calls “a terrible gift”. She once showed me a lovely bowl, made through a Japanese art form they call kintsukuri. The artist took a broken piece of pottery, and filled its fractured seams with gold. The result was a thing of beauty. It transcended its injured self.
I write to find that wholeness. Still, I think poetry is meant for more than the writing of it; it is meant to be shared. I believe each of us has an inner artist, infinitely creative; I would like these poems to participate with yours.
I invite you to wander among them. I believe your presence here is part of something mysterious; synchronicity brings you. I hope you find part of your own sacredness as you read.
